WHAT’RE THE BENEFITS TO BECOMING GLUTEN + DAIRY FREE ?
The reason I became dairy free was simply because I’m lactose intolerant. I didn’t find this out until I was in college. But once I switched to dairy alternatives I noticed a huge difference! I no longer had stomach pains. I also didn’t find out about my gluten intolerance until I lived in Italy for two months (perfect timing, am I right??). Anyway, of course I continued to eat the delicious Italian foods without limitation! But once I arrived back in the U.S. I did switch to gluten free products. It’s very important to wean yourself off of gluten and not just switch all at once! It’ll send your body into shock! I recommend switching over to gluten free pasta at first and then in a couple of weeks switch breads and flour, etc. A couple weeks after switching my stomach started to become less bloated. I also noticed a big difference in the clarity of my skin! Changing your diet is a very big decision and you should also do so in moderation for the wellness of your body!
