BEFORE APPLYING SELF TANNER
1. Always shower before applying tanner!
2. Exfoliate while in shower. This will get rid of dry skin and help perfect a smooth & flawless tan. You can do this with a luffa or even a sugar scrub.
3. Shave! This will prevent a blotchy tan!
4. Add lotion to areas that are prone to discoloration such as: ankles, feet, knees, elbows, wrists, hands and face. THIS IS KEY TO PERFECTING A FLAWLESS TAN!
DURING TAN
5.Start with the lower part of your body and work your way up. ALWAYS use the Loving Tan mitt! It's important to apply the mousse in a circular motion to prevent streaks.
6. Apply mousse to all the areas mentioned in #4 with a makeup brush. This makes it easier to reach small areas ensuring you don't miss anything. A makeup brush is a trick I learned to help blend the tan naturally into noticible areas!
7. Apply self tanner to your face LAST! Apply mousse to your face on a makeup brush. Blend your neck and face together in a circular motion.
8. If you get a smudge or a watermark make sure to blend it out with a DRY Loving Tan mitt! This will blend the tan instead of erasing the color completely and creating a noticable mark.
After TWO HOURS you can rinse off the mousse. Make sure to just rinse with your hands and not a sponge. Once you're out of the shower pat yourself dry with a towel. Make sure to apply moisturizer as often as possible this will extend the length of your tan! And just like that you've achieved the perfect summer glow!
My overall review
I rated this product 4/4 stars! This product was super easy to apply and the finished look was so natural! I was shocked that the tan was so seamless and had no spotting. I love the fact that it only took 2 hours out of my day. So it's NEVER too late to give yourself a tan! I will say that the dark wasn't dark enough as I wanted, so next time i'll order a shade darker. But besides that I didn't experience any negativity with this product! This is definitely a brand i'd recommend!
